Tessa Thompson

The actor Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on the 3rd of October 1983, in Los Angeles, California. Thompson is the daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. Her birthplace was in Los Angeles and raised there prior to moving to Brooklyn. Thompson is Mexican, British Isles and Afro-Panamanian origin. Thompson studied at Santa Monica High School where she performed in numerous theater productions. Following graduation, she was enrolled at Santa Monica College, where she received a bachelor's diploma in the field of cultural Anthropology. In a performance at Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she appeared as Juliet in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". The show was nominated for an NAACP Theatre Award in the same year.
